Nash Engineers is led by David Nash, a highly experienced and creative structural engineer.

Through experience, strong technical skills and expert use of technology, Nash Engineers produces bespoke solutions turning clients' and architects' visions into reality. A deep understanding and knowledge of both modern and traditional construction techniques and a career long experience working in multidisciplinary design teams means that designs are buildable and offer outstanding value. 

David Nash

David has over 35 years experience in the design and construction of building and civil engineering structures in the UK and overseas. He has worked as a consulting engineer on all types and size of building in the majority of materials and has designed and managed major award winning projects with world renowned architects.  

A three dimensional working method

Upfront involvement with the design and construction team enhances coordination and can result in significant reductions in build time and costs.

To ensure that strategies and solutions are effectively communicated throughout the design and construction phases our practice embraces a 3D model based approach on all projects. This facilitates easy visualisation with clear and legible sharing of information and ideas and is beneficial in terms of both client understanding and team and site coordination. 

Sustainability

Our practice pioneers constructional methods using low energy or recyclable materials. We undertake environmental benchmarking where appropriate. Sustainability applies to all aspects of a project, from careful choice and analysis of structural forms avoiding unnecessary over design and waste to the development of simple, buildable and appropriate details. 

Experience - David Nash BEng(Hons) CEng MIStructE

David has held positions at prestigious engineering practices including Robert Benaim and Associates and Arup. He has been involved in numerous high profile and award winning projects across all construction sectors including housing design and renovation, historic conservation work, major infrastructure/ transportation schemes and prestigious commercial office, retail and hotel developments. He has particular expertise in below ground construction from his extensive work on Crossrail at Arup.  

He is experienced working in multidisciplinary design environments and has acted as lead structural designer and project manager on major projects with world renowned architects. He has practical experience of all types of procurement, including traditional, design and build and construction management and has undertaken value engineering and alternative design preparation for contractor led teams.

David is highly skilled at understanding, drawing and communicating construction. This, combined with a lifetime of practical experience enables him to lead and deliver bespoke, high quality projects.
